controls orientation of dimension text in the drawing. if set to M-^Shorizontal,- displays all dimension text horizontally. if set to M-^Sparallel,- displays text parallel to a dimension leader line. if set to M-^Sparallel_diam_horiz,- displays all dimensions except diameter dimensions parallel to their leaders; displays only diameterdimensions horizontally. the elbow of a diameter dimension always extends through to the end of the text. to control the elbow extension beyond the text, use the drawing setup file option M-^Sdim_text_gap.- if set to M-^Siso_parallel,- displays text parallel to a dimension witness line. this differs from the value M-^Sparallel- since this will also allow dimension tolerances to be displayed in iso 406:1987 (e) format or british standard tolerance format. if set to M-^Siso_parallel_diam_horiz,- displays all dimensions except diameter dimensions parallel to their leaders. limit tolerances will be stacked in accordance with iso standard.
the drawing setup file option M-^Sangdim_text_orientation- (not M-^Stext_orientation- ) controls the display of angular dimensions.
