this option enables you to control the display quality of an edge for wireframe and hidden-line removal. the available options are:

normaloprovides a normal quality of edge display.

highoimproves the display quality by increasing tessellation by a factor of 2.

very_highoimproves the display quality by increasing tessellation by a factor of 3.

lowodecreases tessellation compared to normal, thus speeding up the display of an object.
