aids in visualizing a wireframe model. when enabled, wireframe lines become darker as they extend into the screen (away from you) and lighter as they extend towards the screen (towards you). depth cue is supported only by the appropriate graphics hardware. you can also control depth cue in view/model displaydialog box.
